BLUFC has always been about wanting to give all girls and women the chance to play football, so over the summer we decided to enter a team into the Bristol Football Casual League to give the mums of the club the opportunity to start playing football like their daughters, an opportunity not many women had growing up.
Fast forward to January 2026, we have had training sessions of 20+ women, a groupchat of 40+ women and now our first WIN in the bag. We are so proud of our squad members for trying out something new and falling in love with football. Seeing how much of an inspiration they are to their daughters is the best feeling in the world.
